About Extreme Youth Theatre |
MISSION STATEMENT Extreme Youth Theatre has been founded as a community-minded theatre production company which aims to showcase local talent and offer new perspectives in performance. We aim to provide a creative outlet for young performers and provide enthusiastic young people who want to get involved in performance of all kinds the opportunity to do so, allowing them to work with emerging and established professional creative artists. DIRECTOR'S NOTE For many years now we have had a dream to establish a youth theatre company which will provide an opportunity for all the talented young people out there to be involved in theatre; whether it be as an actor; a musician, costume or set designer, or in lighting, sound, stage management, direction, production or front of house. Extreme Youth Theatre is the result. "Mack and Mabel" with its fabulous music and dance numbers, is a great choice for our inaugural show, because it provides a challenge to reveal to the audience that behind the fantasy and escapism of Hollywood is the black undercurrent of "use and abuse" which still continues today.
