Website The EYT Mack and Mabel Website continues to develop with an abundance of material available. New pages added during September 2001 include Production Photos and Notes. This page is intended to cover behind the scenes stories and photos taken during the show and backstage. A Links pages is under construction and will cover a wide range of related activity associated with Jerry Herman's fabulous musical. A link from the Jerry Herman page to Caroline O'Connor's Website has been completed and by reciprocal arrangement with Caroline O'Connor, a link from her Website to the EYT site has recently been achieved. Caroline O'Connor One of Stage and Screens stunning performers, Caroline O'Connor is very popular both at home and abroad. Caroline performed the role of Mabel in the London cast production in 1995 and again in Melbourne during August 2001. Caroline has a really stunning Website and worth a visit. In addition to her many shows and performances, music has been included. Caroline appears at the Sydney Opera House for two performances on Friday 5 & Saturday 6 October 2001 in "From Stage to Screen". Details on Caroline's Website: http://www.carolineoconnor.com.au/news_updates.htm Mack and Mabel for Sydney "The production Company" that staged Mack and Mabel in Melbourne last month, starring Caroline O'Connor as Mabel, is hoping to bring the show to Sydney in the near future with the same cast although details are not yet available. Mack and Mabel CDs Perhaps the best known CD of the show is the Original Broadway Cast production with Robert Preston and Bernadette Peters on the MCA Classics label recorded in 1974, reference MCAD 10523. Cost is around $35 and needs to be imported from the USA through your local record store. Not so well known and an absolute gem of a production is the 1988 "First Night" (label) CD "Mack and Mabel in Concert" featuring Georgia Brown, George Hearne and Stubby Kaye. The show also featured Jerry Herman who gave introductions to many of the musical numbers, on his piano, with vocals. "Hit em on the Head" is included. This is a brilliant recording and can be purchased through First Nights Records Website: http://www.first-night-records.com/html/home.html Cost is UK£4.99 and when converted to Aussie dollars is around $20 including postage. The reference is: OCR CD 6015. Regrettably, the 1995 London cast production CD with Caroline O'Connor has been deleted and is virtually unobtainable.
