Extreme Youth Theatre

Presents
PRODUCER'S NOTE

It is appropriate that eyt's first production chronicles the age-old profession of 'show business'. No matter how many productions I become involved with in whatever capacity, the process never ceases to amaze me. Tonight's performance of Mack and Mabel a highly polished showcase of drama, dance, music and song, the result of the hard work and dedication of the cast, production team, musicians, crew and countless others, all working toward a common goal. A single powerful moment is often the result of hours of work. The process is often slow, but gradually you see the elements of the show begin to come together and cohere.

The value of this type of production is undeniable. Theatre builds confidence, fosters teamwork and helps develop self-esteem, but more than that, theatre is exciting, compelling and unforgettable. Once you become involved you may soon find yourself addicted. Under the guidance and tuition of Rose, Steven and Jane, the cast have built a fantastic show of which they can be truly proud.

Of course there has been plenty of help along the way. The first year of a new theatre company is always going to be a challenging one, and I would like to extend my thanks to everybody who has contributed and supported us in establishing eyt and producing the show.

We are proud to present our inaugural production, Mack and Mabel.

Apology

This photo of Tim
is particularly underexposed at it was taken on stage when the lights went out and the camera's flash appears to have failed

We will keep trying
